CCE Canned Food Drive
THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!
The Generosity that came from this building over the past 3 weeks has completely amazed so many people. I can tell you that the backpack program was overly excited to receive so many cans today. The attached photo isn't even all of them. We had to bring in a small trailer to take them all away. So from the PTO and Student Council, we say 'Thank You'.
Fourth Grade Field Trip to the Indiana Statehouse
Our fourth graders had a wonderful time at the Indiana Statehouse celebrating Indiana's Bicentennial. We met the first lady Karen Pence, and heard about the first family, and even got to meet their pet rabbit. We also got to sit in the senate seats and vote for 25 minutes of extra recess, which would also include an extra 25 minutes of class time. We voted just as a senator would vote. We then participated in the Bicentennial Ceremony with Mike Pence. Overall, it was an interesting day, and our students were able to hear a speech from the vice president elect!

We will be awarding "Bulldog Awards" again this year to those students that demonstrate one of our 'life skills'. The 'life skills' were introduced to our students as a part of C.L.A.S.S. and we are continuing to emphasize them. They are clearly visible throughout the building. If your child receives a "Bulldog Award" you will be receiving a positive phone call and the award will be posted outside the office throughout the school year.
